New motor design with enhanced low-speed torque

From full throttle to full braking, it delivers crisp, instantaneous power. To achieve the overwhelming instantaneous power that is the key to this, a motor system with enhanced low-speed torque has been introduced. This has brought a new power feel to the SCN, with its intense torque characteristics that are demonstrated from the ultra-low RPM range and excellent response with no transmission loss.

02

Innovative spherical slide system "SSBS“

Conventional actuators have a narrow range of motion during rotational movements such as roll and pitch, and require high power motors due to high power loss caused by friction, resulting in a risk of failure and damage.
The SCN-X, equipped with the innovative spherical sliding system "SSBS," reduces power loss during rotation to less than 80% of that of conventional models, ensuring safety and a realistic driving experience.

03

Improved response time

Conventional actuators have a slow response time, resulting in a discrepancy between the actual vehicle motion and the simulator motion, which detracts from the realism. However, our SCN-X solves this problem. It uses a highly reliable industrial PCI-E board, which is used in industrial robot systems where failures are not tolerated. This greatly reduces delays and errors and accurately communicates the vehicle's movements to the driver.

04

Direct Connected Motor Actuator "DCMA“

In conventional systems, transmission loss due to torsion of the coupling causes problems with positioning accuracy and movement loss. SCN-X integrates the motor shaft and screw shaft into a single unit, resulting in direct power without transmission loss. This allows the system to faithfully reproduce vehicle acceleration, vibration, and impact, as well as features and changes in elevation, curbs, road surface conditions, and gravel on a race course.

05

Counterbalance spring

Counterbalanced cylinders have the advantage of being able to instantly generate the necessary force in less space than conventional solutions, balancing the machine's own weight and enabling stable motion. In addition, a spring on the outside of the cylinder rod acts as a damper, thereby reducing the load on the motor.

Integration with SIMTOOLS 3

Fusion with SIMTOOLS 3 for the Ultimate Simulator
SCN-X, faithfully reproduces actual circuit driving and will greatly contribute to the training of racing drivers.
We are also exploring the direction of developing a simulator for actual racing teams, and look forward to its further evolution in the future.
